What to Expect
A Standard Installation for residential CCTV installation services are designed to be completed with the minimum amount of fuss and customers are required to provide suitable access to site during normal working hours.
The engineer will undertake the CCTV system installation in accordance with current H&S guidelines (ladder access etc) and the attending Engineer will discuss / agree the most suitable mounting positions with you on site. Installations include the installation and alignment of CCTV cameras (1- 8 Cameras) to cover selected access points such as driveways, doorways and garden gates. (This is dependent upon site access and the desired camera view). This means the Engineer will connect the system via surface mounted video cables up to 18m in length to a suitable position for connection to the customer’s equipment (DVR/ Monitor/ TV). (The number of video cables is dependent upon option selected 1 – 8 Cameras) Note: All wall entry holes will be properly sealed against the elements using silicon sealant or appropriate internal / external weather covers.

If you are concerned about wires showing on the outside choose the standard installation Plus.
The attending Engineer will setup the DVR/NVR unit to view / record the incoming camera imagery before configuring a single portable device such as a Smart Phone or Tablet to remotely monitor the CCTV imagery using the appropriate App. Note: Remote access is governed by the Customer having a broad band connection and to have chosen the internet connection (Gigabit Homeplugs) option when ordering the installation package. Once everything has been completed the Engineer will complete a final assessment of view from each camera feed to confirm that the new CCTV system is fully operational before seeking Customer confirmation and sign off.
Please Note: All prices relate to domestic installations and only apply to buildings up to 2 stories high where a single engineer will attend. For Commercial installations or domestic installations of 2 stories or higher you will require a site survey prior to receiving a bespoke installation quotation. Important Pre-Installation Considerations
To ensure our installer can perform the smoothest possible installation, please consider the following before they arrive:

Cameras, Positions & Viewing Angles
The main consideration before having your CCTV installed is what views you want the cameras to capture. Think about how many cameras you have ordered, and where you want each positioned on your property.

Monitor Type
A monitor or television is required to view the cameras via the DVR. Please ensure you have one ready which the installer can setup the DVR with.

Cable Management
The biggest difference between our standard and standard plus installation packages is cable management. In the majority of cases, cables will be concealed easily by the building. However, if you want to position cameras in places where cables will be low to the ground, they will probably require the cables to be hidden with conduit. For this, please ensure you purchase a standard plus installation package.

Remote Viewing Access (optional)
If you wish to view your CCTV via the internet from other locations, we need to ensure your DVR is connectable to your internet router. This is typically done with an ethernet cable. If your network router is positioned in a different part of the property from the DVR, we recommend selecting the homeplugs options above, so that a cabled network can be linked to the DVR via your mains power. Please consider this when thinking about the location of your DVR in the property.

Power Socket Availability
Please ensure a power socket is available in the area of your property where you’d like the installer to setup your video recorder. A minimum of 2 is required for HDIP CCTV, and a minimum of 3 for AHD CCTV. If you only have 1 socket available close to the machine, please pick up a 4-way extension cable (commonly available in all good shops) before proceeding.
